In the water with them is top BPSA surfer Llewellyn Whittaker, everyone jostling for waves and upping the tempo as each set comes in.

On the shore BSA coaching director Barry Hall, Junior team manager Carlos Barata join the team's coaches Dominique Kent and Tyson Greenway. For some time now the young surfers have been religiously following a surf development plan set out by the British Surfing Association.

Over the weekend they will be coached using the latest techniques and equipment. Followed by yoga sessions and fitness tests. The young surfers are all looking to impress their seniors for a place on the team at the World Surfing Games in Portugal this spring.

To aid their surf training programme, the squad are due to fly out with Errant surf holidays to Morocco to spend one week of intensive training in warmer water. This will be the first time to Africa for many of the young surfers and although only a short flight away the groms will be exposed to a new culture and way of life.

The British Junior team manager, Carlos Barata comments "This is a fantastic opportunity for the surfers to spend a week in the warmth and really focus on their personal surfing. I am stoked to be working with Errant on this project and am positive this will develop this into a regular training week away."

Morocco is a perfect destination for this time of the year for the team. Good regular flights, sunshine, a range of waves to be coached on and amazing, fresh food. "The squad will be staying in Tamraght overlooking the waves of Banana point and Devils Rock.

About the British Surfing AssociationThe British Surfing Association is the only National Governing Body for Surfing in Great Britain and the Channel Islands.
